Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the apple cider, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes if using. This creates your apple cider glaze.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush about half of the apple cider glaze generously over the chicken thighs.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Brush the remaining apple cider glaze over the chicken.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
