Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in milk until just combined.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Roll out and cut into circles.
- Place a slice of roast beef and cheese on each circle, fold over, and seal edges.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, heat beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Serve biscuits warm with broth for dipping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the dough.
- Use leftover roast beef for a quicker meal.
