A delicious and easy-to-make dessert featuring fresh blackberries baked in a buttery cobbler crust.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine blackberries and 1/2 cup of sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Evenly distribute the blackberry mixture over the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute blackberries with other berries if desired.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
