Description

A delicious breakfast croissant sandwich filled with eggs, cheese, and bacon, perfect for a morning treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 large croissants
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to warm the croissants later.
  2. Place a skillet or frying pan over medium heat and allow it to warm up for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Crack the eggs into a small bowl, being careful not to break the yolks.
  4. Whisk the eggs with a fork until the yolks and whites are fully combined.
  5. Add the butter to the warm skillet and let it melt, swirling it around to coat the bottom of the pan.
  6. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet, spreading them evenly across the surface.
  7. Let the eggs cook for 1-2 minutes without stirring, allowing the edges to set.
  8. Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the eggs and tilt the pan to let any uncooked egg flow to the edges.
  9. Once the eggs are fully set, sprinkle the salt and black pepper evenly over them.
  10. Fold the eggs in half or into quarters, depending on the size of your skillet.
  11. Carefully remove the eggs from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
  12. Slice the croissants in half horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  13. Place the croissant halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until they are warm and slightly crispy.
  14. While the croissants are warming, spread the mayonnaise evenly on the cut side of the bottom half of each croissant.
  15. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly on the cut side of the top half of each croissant.
  16. Once the croissants are warm, remove them from the oven and place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each croissant.
  17. Layer a slice of cooked bacon on top of the cheese on each croissant.
  18. Carefully place the cooked eggs on top of the bacon.
  19. Place the top halves of the croissants onto the assembled ingredients, pressing down gently to hold everything together.
  20. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the sandwich with additional ingredients like avocado or spinach.
  • For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon and add more vegetables.
