Ingredients
- 4 pieces Pork Chops (Boneless and at least 1 inch thick)
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, chili powder, dried oregano, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Pat your pork chops dry with paper towels. Generously season with salt and pepper, then rub the spice mix evenly onto both sides.
- Pour olive oil into a skillet and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place the seasoned pork chops in the hot skillet.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until a nice caramelized crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added freshness.
- Coconut sugar can be used as a healthier alternative to brown sugar.
- For a milder flavor, substitute chili powder with paprika.
- Italian seasoning can be used instead of dried oregano or Cajun seasoning.
- Smoked paprika can be used for a richer flavor.
- Fresh minced garlic can be used for a punchier taste.
- Avocado oil can be used as a substitute for olive oil for a higher smoke point.
