Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole is a flavorful dish that combines ground beef, potatoes, and cheese for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes (about 4 medium potatoes)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, then half of the cooked beef mixture, and half of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, and finish off with the remaining cheese on top.
  5. Carefully pour the soup mixture over the layers, ensuring it saturates the potatoes and beef.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
