Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve on buns or over rice, as desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
- This recipe can be doubled for larger gatherings.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
