Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/2 cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries
- 1/2 cup toasted kataifi dough
- 1/4 cup pistachio cream
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in granulated sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in chopped pistachios and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Spread pistachio cream evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle with toasted kataifi dough.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
