Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups French onion soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyère or Swiss)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Pour half of the French onion soup over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, soup, and cheese.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
