Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the flavors of Oreo cookies and traditional cannoli cream in a pie form.
Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies (about 15 cookies)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
- Mix the crushed cookies with melted butter and press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips into the cream mixture.
- Spread the cannoli cream mixture over the cooled Oreo crust.
- Top with whipped cream and additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of orange zest to the cream mixture.
- This pie can be made a day in advance for convenience.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
