An easy and flavorful turkey recipe that takes the stress out of preparation for Thanksgiving, ensuring a tender and juicy centerpiece for your feast.
Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the turkey from the packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
- Rub the outside and inside of the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan, breast side up.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 13 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving. Enjoy your flavorful roasted turkey!
