A refreshing and colorful blend of frozen fruits and tequila, perfect for festive occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries
- 1 ½ cups frozen blueberries
- 1 ½ cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 ½ cups tequila
- ¾ cup lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- ¼ cup triple sec
- ¼ cup simple syrup (optional)
- Salt and sugar for rimming glasses
- Lime slices for garnish
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare 3 bowls: one for each fruit (strawberry, blueberry, pineapple).
- Blend the frozen strawberries, ½ cup tequila, ¼ cup lime juice, and 1 tablespoon simple syrup in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a bowl.
- Repeat the same process with the blueberries and pineapple, using separate bowls.
- Optional: rim the glasses with a mix of salt and sugar by running a lime slice along the rim and dipping into the mix.
- To serve, layer the slushies in glasses, starting with the strawberry mixture, followed by the blueberry and pineapple slushies.
- Garnish with a lime slice and mint sprig, and serve immediately!
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and triple sec.
