Ingredients
1 cup whole milk (or any other milk of your choice)
1 cup heavy cream (or half and half for a lighter version)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup, honey, or sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
(Optional) Seeds from one vanilla bean for a more intense flavor
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the milk, cream, and sweetener of your choice.
Simmer over medium-low heat until hot but not boiling (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and, if using, the vanilla bean seeds.
Let cool, then pour into a clean, airtight bottle or jar.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. Shake well before each use.
Notes
For a smoother texture, use full-fat cream or sweetened condensed milk.
Personalize it with cinnamon, caramel, or almond extract for a variety of flavors.
Plant-based version? Use oat or almond milk and coconut cream for a rich, dairy-free result.
