  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, white wine, grated Parmesan


Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp: Pat dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat pan: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter with olive oil over medium heat.

  3. Sauté garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).

  4. Cook shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  5. Finish the sauce: Stir in remaining butter, lemon juice, and zest if using. Cook for 1 more minute to combine flavors.

  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with parsley (and optional chili flakes or Parmesan), and serve hot.

Notes
