Description
Grilled Hot Dog Kabobs are a fun and easy dish perfect for summer cookouts.
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs, quartered into 4 pieces each
- 1 small red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 cups pineapple, cubed (1-inch)
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions
- If using wooden/bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes.
- Slice hot dogs into quarters and cut onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and pineapple into 1-inch pieces.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high.
- Thread the skewers by alternating red pepper, green pepper, hot dog, onion, and pineapple. Repeat until the skewer is full.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili powder.
- Oil the grill grates well, brush sauce over the skewers, then grill, flipping every couple of minutes and basting with more sauce, until charred, about 8 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and serve with your favorite BBQ sides.
