Description

Grinch Cookies are fun and festive green Christmas cookies inspired by the beloved character from Dr. Seuss’s classic tale. These cookies are perfect for holiday gatherings and bring a touch of whimsy to your dessert table.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon green food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red candy hearts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the green food coloring until the desired color is achieved.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and red candy hearts.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
