A fun and spooky twist on traditional deviled eggs, perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 6 black olives (for decoration)
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil the Eggs: Place large eggs in a pot filled with cold water. Bring to a rolling boil, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
- Cool and Peel: Transfer boiled eggs to ice water immediately after cooking for easier peeling.
- Create the Filling: Slice eggs in half lengthwise and scoop yolks into a bowl. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add Spooky Decor: Spoon or pipe the filling back into egg whites. Use black olives to create spider shapes on top.
- Garnish & Serve: Dust with paprika before serving and arrange on a platter.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
- These can be made a day in advance; just keep them refrigerated.
