Description

A comforting dish featuring flavorful kielbasa sausage and rich baked beans, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) baked beans
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover the skillet with a lid or foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  6. After baking, remove the cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the top to slightly caramelize.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, try adding a splash of apple cider vinegar. Mix in your favorite beans for a unique twist.
