Description

Korean Barbecue Meatballs are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that combines the savory taste of meatballs with a sweet and spicy Korean barbecue sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochujang, and rice vinegar to make the sauce.
  6. Brush the sauce over the meatballs.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more gochujang to the sauce.
