Description

Lemon Blueberry Dutch Tarte is a delightful summer dessert featuring a flaky puff pastry filled with fresh blueberries and a zesty lemon flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle or circle, about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, combine fresh blueberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Mix gently until blueberries are coated.
  4. Spoon the blueberry mixture onto the center of the puff pastry, leaving about 1-2 inches border around the edges.
  5. Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the blueberry filling, pleating as needed.
  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg to create a golden crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the blueberry filling is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy the tangy sweetness of Lemon Blueberry Dutch Tarte!

Notes
