Description
A delicious low-carb pizza casserole made with ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for busy weeknights and families.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 jar (15 oz) pizza sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and onions to the skillet, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the beef mixture, half of the cheese, and then the remaining beef mixture. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can customize the casserole by adding toppings such as pepperoni, olives, or mushrooms.
