Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Orange Glazed Salmon that combines the flavors of citrus with tender salmon fillets.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
- Sliced green onions and orange slices for garnish
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium and add the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, orange zest, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the salmon fillets to the pan, spooning the orange glaze over the top of each piece.
- Allow the salmon to heat back up for an additional 2-3 minutes, coating with glaze as needed.
- Serve the salmon garnished with sliced green onions and orange slices for an appealing presentation.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice.
