A festive cheesecake blending creamy texture with refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- Red and green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla and peppermint extracts, followed by sour cream.
- Divide the cheesecake batter into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl and green to the other, if desired.
- Pour alternating dollops of each batter into the crust and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
- Let cool and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
Garnish with crushed peppermint candies or cocoa powder for added presentation.
