Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich rolls
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large Dutch oven, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, then add it to the pot.
- Pour in the beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover the pot and place it in the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
- Remove the beef from the pot and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the pot and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled beef on sandwich rolls.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight with the spices.
- Feel free to add toppings like coleslaw or pickles.
- This recipe can be made in a slow cooker as well.
