Description
A delicious and moist pumpkin bread topped with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for fall or any time of the year.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
- splash of milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Set the oven to 350 degrees.
- Add the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, add the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, baking powder, and salt. Combine evenly.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine until smooth.
- Transfer the batter to a greased or parchment paper lined loaf tin. Bake for 65 minutes.
- While the bread is baking, work on the maple glaze by combining the powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and splash of milk until smooth.
- Once the bread has cooled, add the maple glaze on top.
- Cut into slices & enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure the pumpkin puree is not sweetened.
- For a richer flavor, let the bread sit overnight before slicing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
