Description
A delicious and fresh appetizer made with ripe tomatoes, basil, and toasted baguette.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted baguette slices and top with grated Parmesan cheese, if using.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For a vegan option, omit the Parmesan cheese.
