A quick and easy recipe for delicious hibachi-style zucchini, bringing restaurant-quality flavor to your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 medium zucchinis
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (minced)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Slice zucchinis into batons (½-inch by 2-3 inches). Cut onion into half-inch segments.
- Preheat a sauté pan or wok on medium-high. Add vegetable oil and wait for a shimmer.
- Toss in the onions and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until slightly translucent.
- Stir in garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
- Add zucchini and let sit undisturbed for 1 minute. Continue cooking for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and sesame seeds. Stir well and cook for 1 more minute.
Notes
Pat the zucchini dry before cooking to achieve a perfect sear. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
