Description
Sloppy Joe Mac and Cheese Wraps are a delicious and easy family dinner option that combines the classic flavors of sloppy joes with creamy mac and cheese, all wrapped in a tortilla.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Butter or oil for grilling
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- In a separate saucepan over low heat, mix cooked macaroni, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese until creamy.
- Lay tortillas flat. Add a scoop of mac and cheese, then a scoop of sloppy joe filling. Roll into burritos.
- Grill wraps in a skillet over medium heat with butter or oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Serve hot. Slice in half if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add additional spices or vegetables to the sloppy joe mixture for extra flavor.
- These wraps can be made ahead of time and grilled just before serving.
- Leftover filling can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
