Delicious and fluffy blueberry cinnamon rolls that are perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the blueberries gently.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to create icing.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh blueberries.
- Can substitute with frozen blueberries, but reduce baking time slightly.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
