  • Total Time: 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

For Grilled BBQ Turkey Ribs:

2 lbs turkey ribs

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

½ to 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety)

Instructions

Grilled Method:

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.

  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil and all dry seasonings to form a rub.

  3. Coat turkey ribs evenly with the spice mix.

  4. Let rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.

  5. Grill ribs over direct heat for 3–4 minutes per side to sear.

  6. Move to indirect heat, cover grill, and cook for 20–30 minutes.

  7. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Oven-Baked Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Apply spice rub evenly to turkey ribs.

  3. Place in a foil-lined baking dish.

  4. Cover with foil and bake for 40–45 minutes.

  5. Uncover, brush with BBQ sauce, and bake for another 10–15 minutes.

  6. Optional: Broil for 2 minutes at the end for extra caramelization.

Notes

  • Marinate in advance for deeper flavor—overnight is best.

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).

  • Avoid overcooking—turkey ribs are lean and can dry out.

  • Apply BBQ sauce late in the cook to prevent burning.

  • Try different flavors: honey mustard, jerk, or garlic-herb marinades.

  • Rest before serving—juices redistribute and keep the meat moist.

  • Pair with sides like mac & cheese, coleslaw, or roasted veggies.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 40–60 minutes (depending on method)
