Ingredients
For the Sliders:
12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
1 lb thin-sliced deli roast beef (or leftover roast beef)
12 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
For the Glaze:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Slice the rolls horizontally (as one whole piece), and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
-
Layer the ingredients:
-
Optional: Spread a thin layer of mayo on the bottom rolls.
-
Evenly layer the roast beef.
-
Add cheese slices over the meat.
-
Place the top half of the buns back on.
-
-
Make the glaze: Combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
-
Brush the glaze over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle poppy seeds if using.
-
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
-
Uncover and bake for another 5–7 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisp.
-
Slice & serve while warm.
Notes
-
Use fresh or bakery-quality buns for the best texture.
-
Slightly warm the roast beef before assembling for even heating.
-
Don’t skip the foil cover during the first bake—it helps everything melt without burning the tops.
-
Try different cheeses like cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack for variety.
-
These sliders are great for prepping ahead—assemble, cover, and refrigerate; bake when ready.
-
Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave and still taste amazing.
